This hand-sculpted Great Horned Owl stands 19 inches tall, crafted from durable paper stoneware clay. It rests atop my signature birch bark-style base, where two curious mice peek out, as the owl patiently watches for his chance. The piece was meticulously underglazed, bisque-fired, glazed, and fired to cone 6, achieving a beautifully detailed finish. This owl was awarded “Best Decorated” at the 2024 Ottawa Guild of Potters Spring Exhibition.
