This is for a large speckled stoneware birch bark mug. Making birch bark pottery is how I started my pottery journey. I love making birch bark pottery and have developed my signature style.
Made on the potters wheel and then altered by hand. The outside is textured and has some underglaze, the Inside is glazed in white with the speckles showing through, lip and handle are glazed in a colourful explosion.
It is very realistic looking and makes for wonderful gifts for that out doorsy person.
