This is for a speckled stoneware birch bark mug. Making birch bark pottery is how I started my pottery journey. I love making birch bark pottery and have developed my signature piece.
Made on the potters wheel and then altered by hand. The outside is textured and has some underglaze, the Inside, lip and handle are glazed in a mauve.
It is very realistic looking and makes for wonderful gifts for that out doorsy person.
Each one I make is ever so slightly different. This one has a sculpted bluejay coming out of a knot hole.
It holds 22 oz.
I have lots of birch listed and more in my home studio.
